Compatibility & Quality
1. Are these filters as good as the original brand?
Yes. SyncFilters are engineered to match OEM specifications. We use Sri Lankan Coconut Shell Carbon which provides superior filtration of chlorine and lead while maintaining healthy minerals.
2. Will this filter fit my refrigerator?
We list all compatible models on the product page. If you are unsure, email a photo of your current filter to help@syncfilter.com and we will confirm the fit for you.
3. Why doesn't the TDS level drop after filtration?
TDS measures dissolved solids, including healthy minerals like Calcium. Our filters remove chemicals and contaminants but leave beneficial minerals behind, so the TDS reading remains stable.
4. Does using an aftermarket filter void my warranty?
No. Federal law (Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act) protects consumers' rights to use aftermarket parts without voiding the appliance warranty.
Installation & Troubleshooting
5. Why is the water black or cloudy at first?
This is just harmless carbon dust and air bubbles. Please flush about 3-4 gallons of water through the system after installation until it runs clear.
6. How do I reset the "Change Filter" light?
Most fridges require a manual reset. Usually, you hold the "Filter Reset" or "Water" button for 3 seconds. Check your fridge manual for the exact button.
7. What if the filter is leaking?
Most leaks occur if the filter isn't fully locked. Remove it, check the O-rings, and re-install firmly. If it persists, contact us for a free replacement.
8. How often should I replace my filter?
We recommend every 6 months or 300 gallons to ensure the highest water quality and flow rate.

9. How much is shipping and tax?
Shipping is FREE on all orders. Additionally, all prices shown on our site already include sales tax—no surprises at checkout.
10. Where do you ship from and how long does it take?
We ship from Portland, Oregon via USPS First Class. Processing takes 1 business day, and delivery usually takes 3-7 business days.
11. What if my package is lost or never arrives?
If tracking doesn't update for 7 days, we consider it lost. We will either reship your order for free or issue a full refund immediately.
12. Can I cancel my order?
We ship fast! If you need to cancel, email us within 2 hours of purchase. Once USPS has the package, we cannot cancel but can process a return.

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If the filter is unused and in original packaging, you can return it for a full refund.
